Special effects enamel (glass) is kiln fired on fine silver to create organic forms resembling lichen. The sparkling silver comes through creating a rich depth that is hard to capture in photos.  The pin is steel but the rest of the setting is sterling silver this brooch measures 3.5” x 2.25”
